The cost of war has arrived,
It was long overdue.
We’ve seen it for Ages,
On the glimmering screens.
Now they come,
Now we face them.
Will worlds collide,
Will we hide for One another?
Or shall we meet,
And share our mutual longing?
They came to seek refuge,
Many hope things Will work out.
But question we must,
The validity of our society.
What is it’s foundation,
And will that foundation hold?
We cannot ignore the cost of war,
They cannot help thinking there must be a refuge!
How will we meet,
How will we choose to see another?
Will the shock and the horror take hold,
Or will the refuge be calming?
Much will depend on how we choose to see One another.
But how we see the other, is how we see ourselves.
So how would you like to be seen yourselves?
