Living an illusion
There is a man walking round his old neighborhood
He don’t know why but parts of it feels good
He wants to read between the lines
His answers are no solution
He pinching his eyes to see
He’s been living an illusion
There he was playing with his friends
Just playing like it would never end
Enjoying like nothing’s gonna change
The kids see the man wipe a tear of his face
He thought he had forgotten what it’s like
Long before the house and wife
They told him to be ready and look ahead
He simply never learned to look back
He found out that day what it’s like
To learn a hard lesson in a perfect life
It’s buried deep but he remembers the dream
Soon he will realise, nothing is for free
